About

Alireza Bidar

Alireza Bidar is a Senior Effects Technical Director and 3D Generalist specializing in simulation-driven effects, including fire, smoke, water, magic, and destruction for feature animation and visual effects productions.

He began his career nearly two decades ago as a self-taught 3D generalist in the commercial industry. After graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), he moved to California to work on live-action feature films before transitioning into animation. His career has included work on award-winning projects at Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, and LAIKA.

Alireza is a member of the Visual Effects Society (VES) and ASIFA-Hollywood. He also teaches part-time at Gnomon School of Visual Effects, sharing his experience and mentoring the next generation of FX artists.
